Hello! My name is Maya, I’m a sophomore here at LC and my radio hour is called FLOWER POWER! Growing up in Southern California, I have a nostalgic connection with the sounds of Laurel Canyon in the 60s and
70s, and want to keep the hippie spirit alive. I do a lot of research into the history of the bands and songs that I play, and hope to create a cohesive, informative, and engaging show!
Most of my sets are themed, or have songs or artists that have some relation to each other. Although the inspiration was Laurel Canyon, I venture all over, bringing you the ~grooviest~ sounds from San Francisco to London. However, there will always be a Joni Mitchell song somewhere in the mix. Become a flower child Mondays at 2:00 on KPH!!!
